GENERAL SUMMARY:

Investigates and analyzes restricted and sensitive matters relating to staff, non-staff employees and others whose activities may have and impact on the Cleveland Clinic's operations or interests. Recommendations regarding whether an investigation is warranted are made to the Director, Protective Operations. Prepares all required reports for case filing and testifies in court or administrative hearing. Assists the Director, Protective Operations with conducting security assessments which require the development of solutions to identified security risks at Cleveland Clinic facilities. Performs an intelligence gathering function using open source and other commonly acquired sources to provide analyses of geographic regions and missions important to the Cleveland Clinic. Renders dignitary, executive and special security event protection. Trains personnel on matters relating to dignitary protection, criminal investigations and security assessments
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field may offset some of the experience requirement.

Knowledge of federal, state and municipal laws sufficient to recognize criminal activity which can

be used for the successful prosecution of offenders.
*
Must have good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
*
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish fact and draw valid conclusions.

Must have the ability to complete complex reports.
Required Length and Type of Experience
*
Five years of investigative experience in a federal, state or municipal law enforcement environment with a knowledge of advanced investigative techniques.
Required Licensure, Certification or Registry
Must possess a valid Ohio driver's license and certification from a federal or state law enforcement
academy.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Physical demands include periodic extensive sitting, standing and walking, normal or corrected
vision and occasional lifting or carrying 15 pounds or more.
