Position Details

IMMEDIATE OPENINGS

The Village of Durand Police Department is seeking applicants for Part-Time Police Officers.

We are a charming small town and perfect for the recently retired officer or those wanting a slower-paced law enforcement position.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Twenty-one years of age or older.

Possession of a valid driver's license.

A certified law enforcement officer in the State of Illinois.

Must hold a valid Firearms Owners Identification card. (Illinois residents)

Must not have been convicted of a felony or certain misdemeanors, as defined by statute.

Ability to work evenings and weekends.

Must participate in and complete all stages of the hiring process, which may include but are not limited to:

oral interview

extensive background investigation

post-offer physical/drug/psychological test
