Description of Work This position is at Greene Correctional Institution, a minimum custody facility in Maury, NC that houses 656 adult male offenders. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $39,244.00-$68,679.00 This is a REPOST - Previous applicants are still under consideration and do not need to reapply. This position provides supervision of subordinate staff and is responsible for conducting shift line-ups, making shift assignments, and inspecting all personnel to determine if they are physically and mentally capable of assuming an assigned post. This position will complete, review, and maintain time reports, duty rosters, leave schedules, performance evaluations, and administrative forms. This position will account for persons and funds and ensure that all assigned equipment is operationally ready and identify training needs and coordinate delivery of training for subordinate staff. This position will conduct internal investigations, develop operational plans, post orders, and Standard Operating Procedures. This position will ensure the custody and security of the facility. The Eastern Region prefers applicants with at least 2 years experience as a Correctional Sergeant. Applicants should have documented supervisory skills in a prison facility, knowledge of facility operations, knowledge of Prison's policy and procedures, documented report writing skills.
