Salary:

Lateral Entry Officers may qualify for the following pay increases:

Lateral Officers with four (4) or more years of experience earn increasing to $113,753.11, effective May 1, 2026

Benefits:

Initial uniforms and equipment provided by the Department; annual uniform allowance

Excellent health, dental and life insurance at a 15.5% premium

Compensatory accrual up to 80 hours

Investigations, Officer In-Charge (OIC), and Field Training Officer (FTO) stipends

Educational pay incentive of $800 for those who possess Associate Degrees and $1200 for those who possess a Bachelor's Degree.

Educational Reimbursement for attainment of Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree, while employed with the Village.

Position Details

To be eligible:

Applicant must be Illinois Law Enforcement Certified - OR - meet the out of state trained reciprocity requirements

Must have served full time for at least two (2) years with a Law Enforcement Department
