The Department employs approximately 2,000 employees. Description of Work It's that time of year again and we're excited about the upcoming 2026 NC State Fair! We are seeking Police Officers to staff the annual NC State Fair that will begin on Thursday, October 15 and ends on Sunday, October 25. If you enjoy people, working in a fast-paced environment, could use a little extra cash, and being part of a team is essential to a safe and fun event, we need you! The schedule for these positions may run October 1 through October 31. The Fair is held at: 4285 Trinity Road, Raleigh, NC 27607. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range- $35.00-$50.00 NC BLET Certified and currently sworn as a Justice Officer with the NC DOJ Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards and currently employed by a law enforcement agency, whether full or part time or in reserve capacity.
