Position Summary:
Seeking a C5ISR Engineer to provide technical services and project leadership for the successful integration and fielding of a Common Operating Picture (COP) system and other C5ISR systems. The engineer will work within a Department of Defense (DoD) vehicle platform project management team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and programmatic support to a PMO overseeing multi-disciplinary tactical ground vehicle projects.
- Lead the Integrated Product Team (IPT) for a GCCS-J based Joint Common Operational Picture (JCOP) system.
- Assist functional leads (logistics, fielding, test, training, cyber) in execution of efforts supporting JCOP development.
- Understand user needs and translate them into technical requirements.
- Maintain strong written and verbal communication with team members and partners.
- Interface daily with customers, ensuring alignment on requirements, schedules, and deliverables.
- Coordinate internally with various program functions (engineering, business management, test, logistics, cyber, contracts, finance).
- Collaborate externally with PMOs, CCDC, test centers, and other DoD agencies.
- Author program documents (SOWs, MOAs, cost analyses, ISPs, etc.).
- Review engineering change proposals (ECPs) and design documents to ensure requirements are met.
- Participate in technical design and milestone reviews (SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.).
- Contribute to risk management, acquisition documentation, fielding activities, and training support.
- Prepare and present briefings to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract sensitivity.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance .
- Bachelor s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 8 years relevant experience in C5ISR systems integration.
- Experience with DoD ground vehicle C5ISR architectures and system interconnectivity.
- Familiarity with COP systems including GCCS-J , Link 16 , CPCE , C2PC , TAK , BFT , and JBC-P .
- Ability to develop project vision, lead discussions, drive consensus, and adapt to customer direction.
- Self-starter with the ability to operate autonomously while supporting the team mission.
- Strong attention to detail, professional communication skills, and customer service mentality.
- Understanding of project management principles (cost, schedule, performance adherence).
- Experience with technical requirements definition and documentation.
- Ability to prepare and deliver technical material to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability and willingness to navigate bureaucratic and approval chains as needed.
Desired Skills:
- Familiarity with tactical radios and waveforms (HMS radio, SINCGARS, VULOS, MUOS, TSM).
- Knowledge of DoD GPS systems (DAGR, MAPS GEN II) and commercial SATCOM networks (SNOC, GAIT).
- Previous roles such as JICO , 25U , 25B , or experience with S6 shops.
- Understanding of COP systems from both user and operational integration perspectives.
- Experience establishing end-to-end communications and working with message formats (JSON, VMF).
- Knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
- Familiarity with DoD acquisition, systems engineering, and program office support.
- Engineering analysis, trade-off studies, value engineering background.
- Subsystem and system-level integration on DoD platforms.
- Fielding, training, and logistics product experience.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:

- Bachelor's in Engineering field
- Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance
- Strong COP system operational knowledge (GCCS-J, JTCW, etc.)
