Starting: $78,956.80 to $107,952.00, depending on qualifications

Top salary achieved in as little as three years: $118,996.80 effective January 1, 2026

Benefits:

Paid vacation

Lateral hires receive 40 hours of vacation after 90 days (to be used within the first year)

After 1 year: 80 hours

After 5 years: 120 hours

After 10 years: 160 hours

Minimum Requirements Applicants must:

Be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility as required by law

Be at least 21 years of age

Possess a high school diploma or GED

Possess a valid driver's license

Have successfully completed the Basic Law Enforcement Training Course under the Illinois Police Training Act, or qualify through the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB) reciprocity process

Be physically able to perform the essential functions of a Round Lake Beach police officer
