Master Patrol Officer: $124,151

Up to $1,200 Annual Education Pay for Law Enforcement Related Degrees

The Bolingbrook Police Department has 116 sworn officers and offers countless opportunities to serve our village of 77,000 residents. Bolingbrook is a diverse community located in the Chicago suburbs consisting of residential, retail, corporate headquarters, and commercial properties.

Positions are filled from a pool of lateral and entry level officers.

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED

60 semester hours of credit from an accredited institution at time of hire, or 45 semester hours of credit with 2 years of continuous active-duty military service, or 30 semester hours of credit with 4 years of continuous active-duty military service

Have vision correctable to 20/20

United States citizen

Valid Driver's License

Pass all stages of the hiring process

Previous status as a certified Police Officer; Currently in good standing in the police department in which the person serves

Possess substantially equivalent skills and abilities as a Village of Bolingbrook Police Officer who has completed the probationary period, as determined by the Village, and taken and passed such examinations as the Commission deems necessary to determine fitness for duty as a police officer

Must reside within a 30-mile radius within 18 months after hire
