Commanding Officer Remote & Hybrid Only Jobs in California

A Commanding Officer in the law enforcement industry oversees the operations of a law enforcement unit, ensuring all activities are in line with the department's policies and the law. They should be adept at handling high-stress situations, and have a deep understanding of law enforcement procedures and policies. They should also hold a Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification or equivalent, and preferably, a degree in criminal justice, public administration, or a related field. Prior to becoming a Commanding Officer, a person may have roles as a Patrol Officer, Sergeant, or Lieutenant within the law enforcement industry.
